Privacy Policy

Plain-English information about what personal data Nikki Gets It collects, why it is used and the choices you have.

Last updated: 18 September 2026Contact: nikki@nikkigetsit.com
Short version: if you send an enquiry, I use the information you provide to understand your project and respond to you. I do not sell your personal data.

1. Who is responsible for your information?

Nikki Gets It is the controller of personal data collected through this website and through direct business enquiries. You can contact Nikki Gets It at nikki@nikkigetsit.com.

2. What information is collected?

If you use the enquiry form, you may provide your name, organisation, email address, phone number, website or project link, the type of support you need, project stage, project goals, preferred timing, deadline, budget range, additional project information and preferred contact method.

Please do not send sensitive personal information about yourself or another person through the enquiry form unless it is genuinely necessary and has been specifically requested.

The website host may also process technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as the page requested, browser and device information, time of access, referrer information and an IP address that is anonymised for hosting statistics.

3. Why is the information used?

Personal data may be used to:

  • respond to enquiries and discuss potential work;
  • prepare proposals, quotations or project plans you request;
  • deliver and administer agreed consultancy services;
  • keep appropriate business and project records;
  • protect the website, prevent misuse and maintain technical reliability; and
  • understand broad website usage through IONOS SiteAnalytics; and
  • where you choose to allow it, understand page visits and successful website enquiries through Google Analytics.

4. Lawful bases

Depending on the situation, processing is based on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, performing a contract, complying with legal obligations, or legitimate interests in responding to genuine business enquiries, operating the consultancy and maintaining a secure and useful website.

If Nikki Gets It later introduces optional email marketing, consent will be requested where required and you will be able to withdraw it.

5. Formspree and other service providers

The website enquiry form is processed using Formspree. This means the information you submit is transmitted to Formspree so the enquiry can be delivered to Nikki Gets It. Formspree states that it supports GDPR compliance and uses Standard Contractual Clauses for relevant international transfers.

The website and business email are supported by third-party technology providers, including hosting services. These providers may process data only as needed to provide their services, subject to their own contractual and data-protection obligations.

6. IONOS hosting and SiteAnalytics

This website is hosted using IONOS. IONOS states that its web-hosting systems collect technical visitor information for security, stability and service quality, with IP addresses anonymised. IONOS also provides SiteAnalytics, which may be active by default and is used for statistical evaluation and technical optimisation.

IONOS states that SiteAnalytics does not use cookies and processes information such as referrer, requested page or file, browser, operating system, device type, time of access and an anonymised IP address.

7. Google Analytics and cookies

This website uses Google Analytics 4 only if you choose “Allow analytics” in the website analytics notice. Google Analytics helps Nikki Gets It understand broad website usage, such as which pages are visited and whether an enquiry form is successfully submitted. The site does not send the contents of your enquiry form to Google Analytics.

If you allow analytics, Google Analytics may set cookies such as _ga and _ga_*. If you choose “No thanks”, the Google Analytics tag is not loaded. You can change your choice at any time using the Analytics settings link in the website footer.

Nikki Gets It does not currently use Google Ads, behavioural advertising or remarketing trackers on this website. IONOS SiteAnalytics also operates without cookies.

8. International transfers

Some service providers, including Formspree and Google, may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, appropriate safeguards are expected to be used. Formspree states that it relies on Standard Contractual Clauses as a data processor for GDPR-related transfers. Google publishes information about its data-protection safeguards and international data transfers in its privacy documentation.

9. How long is information kept?

Enquiries that do not become client projects are normally kept only as long as reasonably useful for follow-up and business administration, generally no longer than 24 months after the last meaningful contact unless there is a reason to keep them longer.

If an enquiry becomes a client project, relevant project, contractual and financial records may be retained for longer where needed to provide the service, deal with disputes, or meet accounting and legal obligations. Some business records may need to be kept for up to six years.

10. Who is information shared with?

Information is not sold. It may be shared with service providers that support the website, email, form handling or delivery of an agreed project, and with professional advisers or authorities where there is a legal requirement to do so. Only information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose should be shared.

11. Your data-protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access your personal data, correct inaccurate information, ask for deletion or restriction, object to certain processing, and receive certain information in a portable format.

You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests in appropriate circumstances.

To exercise a right, email nikki@nikkigetsit.com. Identity may need to be verified before a request is completed.

12. Complaints

If you have a concern, please contact Nikki Gets It first so it can be looked into. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). Information about making a complaint is available at ico.org.uk.

13. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the website, services or technology providers change. The date at the top of the page will show the latest update.
